www.CVBay.com is a web-based resume database facility specialising in all facets of the marine labour market and currently has registered jobseeekers from over 100 countries around the world. The service is free for employers.

Employers can register and gain access to a multitude of CV's from operational personnel through to senior management and make direct contact with candidates of interest.

Employers can either place job ads or use CVBay.com's sophisticated search and sort functions to rapidly sort through thousands of CV's to obtain a shortlist of potential candidates. When the list is finalised, the site then emails the candidates of the employer's interest.

The basic registration is also free for Jobseekers. They can register in three ways, either Public, Anonymous or Inactive. When Public, all details are seen by employers except the individual's email, address and contact numbers. For Anonymous, the individual's name is also withheld. Lastly, Inactive jobseekers can not be seen by employers conducting CV searches but can view job ads on the site. The above gives Jobseekers the option to select the level of confidentiality they require, whilst still placing themselves on the employment market.

Since its launch 2 months ago CVBay.com has grown substantially, boasting more than 1,100 registered jobseekers, over 50 registered employers and over 60 current job postings.

The site is owned by Marine Strategies (Pty) Ltd of Perth, Western Australia.
The company has great ambitions for CVBay.com, targeting 20,000 jobseekers and 1000 companies by year end and aiming to be the world leader in this market niche in the next 12 months.

The facility is open to employers as well as recruitment agencies enabling companies to broaden their horizons and potential source markets. Jobseekers are asked to provide indicative asking salaries which allows employers to gain feedback as to what their industry is paying for personnel around the world.

Marine Strategies specialises in marine consultancy to the Oil, Gas and Mineral industries as well as port / terminal operators both within Australia and internationally.
It also has services participating in terminal and port feasibility studies; providing advice on contract structuring; preparation of pre-qualification, call for tenders and adjudication; budget preparation & cost monitoring; as well as project management of contracts during the establishment phase; audit of existing operations and establishing of systems and procedures including terminal operating manuals.
