Malaysian logistics hub planned

A venture between Malaysia and Dubai-based backers may see a new logistics base planned for the city of Johor.

The project has a S$469 million budget and the final plan is due to be finalised in the next quarter.

The proponent is the newly-formed Gulf International Investment Group. It is planned to create a hub for industry in the region. Other stakeholders are from Singapore as well as the Middle East.
