AUSTRALIAN business solution provider RDA Group is launching a business management system that it says will help oil and gas companies be better prepared for an incident similar to the Varanus pipeline explosion. “With a 30 percent reduction in WA’s natural-gas output, our oil and gas and mining clients across the country are feeling the pressure to be better prepared for something similar happening within their own operation,” managing director Ian Cook said.
The solution from Canadian software developer WellPoint Systems already provides industry organisations in more than 60 countries around the world with critical asset management functionality.
RDA said the system provides the foundation for accounting, resource planning, maintenance and operation requirements as a whole.
The industry is characterised by intensive capital investment often funded through joint ventures and it is in these areas, as well as disaster protection, that the WellPoint solution is focused, RDA added.
In conjunction with Microsoft, RDA is hosting an event in Sydney on Wednesday, June 25 to celebrate its partnership with WellPoint Systems and to signify the solution launch with their oil and gas and mining clients within Australasia. Click here to read the rest of today's news stories.
